When the Sun Came Out

leather jacketpink hairpink hairpink hairtopshop jeans
This summer was the most life changing time of my life. When the sun came out, I was made redundant which came as a massive surprise to me. This in turn started my anxiety attacks and panic attacks. Now I am in a better place and I am loving life again. I am about to start another great job where I am getting paid a lot more than my previous job and the people I will be working with seem so sweet and I cannot wait to start.
Although I thought I wouldn’t have made it through the terrible time, doing my blogging actually helped me work on myself and helped me focus on something positive. Having that time off forced to take time off and relax because for as long as i can remember all i did was work, work and I didn’t stop moving even when I was sleeping my brain was working. I haven’t eaten or slept so much in my entire life (mum calls me sleeping beauty cause I love my sleep). And now i am thankful I had something to focus on otherwise I think I might have gone a little bananas. During that time I even turned to God to pray for his help so that I can make it through my joblessness. Which is very rare for me but it is a thing I always go back to when I am going through a rough patch because I was brought up in a christian household and even if i would like to stop believing in God it is very hard to leave. I am what my religion call a lukewarm christian 🙂
Because I didn’t have a job I got the chance to try the pink hair I have meant to try since forever. I also had the freedom to experiment with my style a lot. During the summer time, I also found a man of my dreams who has been very supportive and understanding and I cannot wait to see what we get up to in 2018. Life is fun again.

What are some of the things you thankful you had to do this summer?

Don't Compare Yourself to Others

Guns N Roses T-ShirtBlack JeansBlack JeansVansBlack JeansVansHappy Friday ma lovelies! and welcome to a new month. I hope you’re having a fab start to the new season?
Being a social media person can be very disappointing sometimes. I try very hard not to compare myself to others in this sector but I cannot help it, i only human after all. I know doing that only makes me a little jealous that I am not as successful as others. I sometimes feel, i work so hard to put content up there,  why aren’t i getting the exposure I want  but I am learning that now that I am older, I can’t get things my way anymore. Plus all those other successful bloggers, they’ve all had to work extremely hard to get where they are today. And only with hard work and perseverance will I ever succeed in the blogging industry. I just need to continue to be myself, enjoy what I do. If and when it becomes a chore, I don’t post because my followers can tell when I am grumpy. Even when people follow and un-follow you, don’t give up. Because one day, you will make it. Plus some people have massive followers but you may have more interaction with yours posts. As long as you’re consistent with your posts and are yourself online, people will feel connected and will stay true to you.
How do you stop yourself from comparing yourself to others on social media?

Too Much of a Good Thing

Someone recently said to that too much of a good thing can be bad for you. Being in a relationship bubble is more than a distant memory. I have had relationships in the past that has started off really well and has ended pretty terribly. Growing up and watching all these happily ever after disney films have filled my head with the dream of meeting prince charming and then riding off into the sunset. I have recently started seeing someone who is so amazing. He makes me laugh out low until i cry sometimes. I keep pinching myself every time to make sure i’m awake. Having had very bad end to relationships, i have actually started thinking it’s not going to last. And it’s going to end with me heart broken. I know its bad to think that way but I just can’t help myself. Its soo sad when I think about. On the positive though, I do believe that this guy might end up being the only ex I can actually still be friends with even if the relationship ends. I feel like because we are friends and in a relationship it will work this time round because we are both very similar. Plus we talk about everything even the awkward stuff which is just very refreshing.

How to Style| The White T-Shirt Dress

T-Shirt Dress
Styling the white t-shirt dress can be easy peasy. Because white goes with everything. I decided to dress it up a little bit more by adding my trusted public desire platform heels. I have been loving my baggy denim jacket from Missguided. I thought, it would go well with the dressed up but not too dressed up look I was going for. I kept my details very simple adding this stunning watch from Kapten & Son. I really wish summer wasn’t at its end so it will be easy to dress up and leave the house on time for a change 🙂

Red, Pink and Vans On the Wall

Pink Hair Vans Vans Vans Vans Vans Vans Vans VansHello! I hope you’re having a good day. Today’s post is all about styling this beautiful floral skirt from Loavies. Adding colour to my wardrobe has been an essential step these days. I love life in colour and what better way to add a rush of colour than with a floral. Floral’s were big this summer. And I think I went floral crazy with all the floral I bought this season. Because of the pink hair and the red lips, it was vital I kept the rest of the outfit colourless. Continuing with the frills, I added this stunning white top with the frill sleeve from Zara. Finishing off the look with my trusted Vans trainers which go with everything.

I added my Quay sunglasses to polish off the look.

mustard playsuitHello peeps. I hope you’re having a great start to the week? A rush of colour to head is inspired by a coldplay album and song a rush of blood to the head. I love coldplay the band. And I have a massive school girl crush on Chris Martin. Don’t know why just do. Anyhoo enough about the handsome Chris back to the post at hand.
I was lucky and happy to have bagged this mustard coloured playsuit from misspap. Styling it was  is a dream. I was a little afraid it would clash with the millennial pink hair. I don’t think it did clash which was awesome. Because I have loved living in colour. I feel that this playsuit will go with everything. I can see myself wearing it with trainers or boots. I paired it with my public desire platform heels. Talking about the beautiful platforms, I want to draw your attention to them. Can’t say enough good things about them. They’re great and go with everything. They are very comfortable. I have worn them with everything. And are very affordable. Now that the summer is almost over, I wish it would last all year round. I have had such a fun and life changing summer. I don’t want it to end. 🙂
So what do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Happy Saturday me lovelies. Denim on denim is a trend that never seems to go out of fashion. I recently bought these new pieces from my shopping spree. And I couldn’t wait to style it for you. I am not one for wearing oversized jacket that much because sometimes it makes be look weird. This jacket from Missguided is too beautiful. And it goes with everything. I have lived in it since I bought it. These denim skirt from Lasula is everything. It was a little big so i had to throw in the belt to make it fit. I have lost weight recently so all my clothes are a little baggie than I would like. But this looked too good to return. To finish off the look, I added my old skool Vans and these mirrored shades from Quay Australia.

Thrasher T-Shirt and Denim Jeans

I seem to be collecting bad ass shirts like these and I love it. I love how easy these tees are to style. Actually, t-shirt in general go with every outfit. And can be dressed up or down depending on your mood.  The big prints on them can make an outfit totally retro. I love wearing outfits like this for a those chilled day out shopping or hanging out with friends. I have seen Thrasher t-shirts for a while and I’ve wanted to get it. But they seem too plain for my liking and cost too much. This shirt was a bargain and what a find eh. I paired this tee with my old Levi jeans and my H&M platform trainers. Not to overdo my outfit, I have kept my makeup really simple. And minimal details adding the Kapten watch and bracelet.
