Glossybox UK - July 2017 BoxGlossybox UK - July 2017 Box
Glossybox UK - July 2017 BoxGlossybox UK - July 2017 BoxHi there! Today, I am sharing my thoughts on the July 2017 Glossybox UK. I was very lucky to have received this month’s box. Because this box had three full-sized products. I felt that this month’s box was more expensive and it felt a bit spacey unlike last month’s box. Don’t get me wrong, I love receiving samples each month, for the extra £3 paid, I expected at least one more product. I guess it was this much because of the full-sized products. Anyhow enough ranting about money. Let’s get down to business.
I was more than excited to receive the Spectrum Collections Small Fan Brush.I have my own little Spectrum Collections Brushes. So when I saw this brush, I was more than happy to receive it. I have bought a fan brush from the high street which wasn’t very sturdy. Actually most of the small fan brushes I have seen are not very sturdy at all. This brush is very soft, feels totally amazing on the skin. And it’s very sturdy. I love using this to contour by cheeks and it is does the job perfectly.
The next product to grab my attention was the Belle Pierre Banana Powder. Now that the it’s summer time, keeping my makeup in place has been my number one priority. I have used this powder to set my under-eye concealer. It’s done the perfect job of holding my concealer in place. It smells lovely and it’s not as light yellowey as the Ben Nye Banana Powder. Which I feel, can suit every skin tone. I haven’t yet used it as a highlighter. As I am am unsure it will work as a highlighter.
Also in the box it the CuteBalms Macaroon Tinted Balm in Crushed Berry. When I first saw this balm, I thought it was an actual Macaroon. Disappointed I know. It smells like strawberries but did not taste like strawberries. It leaves a hint of pink when applied on the lips. Not as moisturising as I prefer but it’s alright.
MONUspa Soothing After Sun Lotion I am not one for using aftersun lotion. But this lotion is perfection. It smells really good. It is very nourishing on the skin. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and cool after use.
Last but not least is the Papanga spiral hairbands. They sent me these lovely two bright colours. It is very secure when you use it. And I haven’t noticed any breakage when I use it on my natural hair which is great.
Overall, I was really happy with the contents in this month’s box. I know I paid a bit more to have it. But it is money well spent because it would have cost me a lot more to buy these full-sized products. I am actually a little excited to see what they include in next month’s box.

My Little Box – California Dreaming

This month’s box My Little Box is filled with trinkets to add colour and fun this summer.  This box one of my favourite boxes because it comes with cool and very useful item like this shopping bags. I am very happy with the contents in My Little Box.
The first item I was excited to see was this breezy balmy tote bag. Because we are now being charged for using carrier bags in the supermarkets, this bag comes in very handy when you go grocery shopping. And it’s very funky and bright.
Also in the box was the cotton-candy colours of the california sunset inspired charm bracelet. How beautiful is this bracelet? It’s super bright and cute to add fun to any outfit.
I don’t think I have ever tried a product from Burt’s Bees before. So receiving the deep cleansing cream was an ever so welcomed addition. From what I have seen so far from using this cream, I am very happy I was able to try a product of theirs.  This cream smells wonderful and feels great to apply and it leaves the skin moisturised. I can now go ahead and try out some of their other products. Can you recommend any more Burt’s Bees product that you can recommend to me?
Next up is the Coconut Oil from Palmers. Again this smells divine and it’s great to do on sensitive skin like mine. I haven’t used palmers products for a while and i cannot for the life of me remember why i stopped. But I am happy I get to test out this body lotion from them.
Body oils are becoming the new way to add extra gloss to the skin. This oil from My Little Beauty can be use on your skin if you want or use can use it a hair mask to add extra nourishment to dry, lifeless hair. It doesn’t smell as good as the other two but it helps heal split ends. It adds shine and satinlike smoothness to the skin once applied.
The last and final item included in the box is the LA-inspired stickers. Which you can use on your phone or like me add a bit of character to your laptop. Its so soft and cute. When i first saw it thought i had been sent sweeties. Silly me!! 🙂
Everything in this box, smells good enough to eat. And I cannot wait to see what I receive in next month’s box.

Giving Beauty Box Another Go

GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box
GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box - ModelCo Contour Stick GLOSSYBOX UK June 2017 Box - 111SKIN
I have been a massive fan of beauty boxes in the past. Early this year, I decided to pause my subscriptions because some of the samples I have accumulated in the past haven’t all been used up. Beauty boxes are one of my favourite way to try different products that I otherwise would not have even thought of trying. The first thing I reached for in the June GLOSSYBOX was the sample book, I am a massive bookworm and love getting lost in a great novel. Reading enriches my soul and keeps my imagination alive. This book is just pretty darn wonderful and would love to get my hands on an actual copy when it comes out.
Also in the box is the eness exotic africa hand cream, which smells divine and is so rich, a teeny tiny bit is all you need to keep your hands moisturised. I really loving this hand cream and it’s firmly in bag to save my dry hands during the day.
Next up, i got the 111skin Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel, which smells like baby powder. I applied it straight away under my eyes and it feels quite nice, I haven’t seen any results yet because I have only been using it for a few days now. The full size is £110 so I am pretty sure it should do some wonders to help brighten my under eyes before it runs out.
Batiste Stylist Shield My Locks Heat and Shine Spray, was a welcomed addition to the box. Because I don’t blow dry my natural hair, I will definitely be using this on my weave when I get it done. I have only used Batiste dry shampoo before and I loved it so I looking forward to testing this bad girl on my weave shortly.
BeautyPro Black Diamond Mask  I love anything charcoal-y and a mask. I am always looking for products that can help unclog my pores and also help reduce shine. Nothing beats a mask moment, which I now trying to have at least once a week. This mask has all the things I look for in my masks and i cannot wait to try it out. Yayy!! excited 🙂
Sleek Power Plump Lip Crayon has to be my least favourite product. I love the way it glides on the lips and how it tingles after it’s on your lips. I just don’t like the colour Notorious Nude, it looks like the milky nude, I really dislike which is usually how nudes colours look on me which is why I refrain from wearing nude lipsticks. Other than the horrible nude colour and it breaking on me when I was trying it on the third time around, everything else about the lip crayon works for me. Sorry Sleek Makeup 🙂
I am now trying to work on upping my makeup game to keep you with the Instagrammers. One of the things I struggle with is contouring. And because I have oily/combination skin, I aM frankly clueless when It comes to finding products that work without melting my face during the day. The Manna beauty simplified glow illuminator  is really amazing, it’s so dreamy on the skin when applied and its liquid which stays on for ages. You can either mix it with your foundation or it can be worn alone as a highlighter which is what I have done to glow my cheeks 🙂
I have never ever used ModelCo products because I have felt that it is for lighter skinned people. I was proven right when I tried their contour stick. It’s completely the wrong shade for my skin tone and it’s also a bit too oily for me. If you can recommend a product that might suit a dark-skinned girl like me, please go ahead and leave your suggestions below.
Finally, my favourite product in this month’s box has to be thisworks In Transit Camera Close-Up. This is so creamy and it feels amazing on the skin. A must product for anyone looking for a product which helps to nourish the face. I would love to get the full size if it continues to work on my face as it has done for the past three days. Hopefully, I don’t break out if I continue to use it.

Glossyboxuk March 2016 Box

Hello and welcome. I hope you are having a good day. For today’s post, i will be sharing with you my thoughts on the March box I received from Glossyboxuk.

Included in the box is the welcome letter from the ever generous people at Glossybox.

As always the little card of information telling you what’s included in your box and how much the full size will cost.

A shampoo and conditioner from -417… a brand I have never heard of – one of the beauty of subscribing to beauty boxes you’ll get to discover new brands that you other wise wouldn’t have probably heard of. I haven’t opened this shampoo or conditioner yet but if the reviews are anything to go by I will love using it on my hair.

I was also sent the hey honey facial serum which I love using with the Olay skin tone perfecting cream. Both smell so sweet and are not sticky or too heavy when applied.

How pretty is this highlighter from so susan. I haven’t used it yet again but I will definitely be testing it out soon…the colour doesn’t look too light for me to use on my skin.
I was really pleased with this months box especially receiving this gorgeous soft brush from Luxie. This was actually one of the products I was itching to open. I must say that I wasn’t disappointed at all with this goodies in my March box. How about yourself? Did you like all the products you received in this months box?

Love Is In The Air | February 2016 Glossybox

So Valentine’s Day is long gone and I am doing this post now which am sure you’re probably wondering why… I just wanted to share with you Glossyboxuk February box. which by the way was full of essential goodies one would need to get ready for either Galentine’s day out or for dinner with that special someone.
when it comes to beauty boxes I am constantly surprised with the contents of the boxes and this box is by far my favourite.  I honestly needed each item in this box which is why this was my fav… I don’t own a pair of tweezers any more because my eyebrows are professionally done but I  liked how cute and girly this one is….. who doesn’t like flowers!
I like how easy and time saving this little in shower gem is ( i call it the leg-saver lol)
The conditioner is very nourishing on the hair and smells of ginger and apparently it is all natural so no harmful chemicals that will dry up or damage your hair.
Note: All the products in this month’s box are all full size… yeah you read it right…no samples sizes this month which is amazing 🙂

Glossy Box // December Box: The Rose Gold Edit

Hello and welcome! For this month’s box, Glossybox teamed up with Beauty Blogger Really Ree and together they curated the party themed box with an attractive exterior design, complete with some goodies  to help you feel bright eyed and bushy tailed this December. This box is full of Really Ree’s top picks of  the best in beauty products
Included in the box are some products to help you create a statement look and some  little skincare products to help restore, and add some awesomeness to the skin after a late night out partying. …I think this box will be a favourite or will be much liked to many this month.
Here a little bio: Glossybox is a monthly subscription service, The monthly boxes consists of five-six selected beauty, skincare, hair or make-up sample sized and or full-sized products from well-known or new emerging brands. These are couriered to you every month and you can either choose to receive it at work or at home… now back to this month’s samples 🙂
I really love looking at pretty polish especially pretty ones like this Collection Long Lasting Nail Effect Polish. Although Bright coloured polish are my to go colour, it will be nice to try something different this party season and I can’t wait to try it out soon – I believe there are few more shades being circulated around this month’s box; I myself would have loved a baby pink colour or maybe say a red or anything bright but I will still enjoy trying silver colour out.
So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Crayon
I am very much in to the highlighting step part of daily make-up routine.. when i saw this in my box, I was s very happy. It’s such a beautiful highlighter..the highlighter itself is creamy, golden shade and it looks so nice on the stick and glides so well and it looks so natural when blended properly. I am absolutely loving it and I will be adding this to my beauty must haves for 2016.
etre belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On
This is one tool that I myself will be using after a late night of partying or maybe as a wakeup happy eyes the morning after the night of one two many drinks. It is such a great product, you can instantly feel it working it’s magic when you apply it you feel it soothing, cooling and my under eyes feels refreshed…. It’s a definite welcome addition to my make-up bag because I am no longer walking around like Shrek the ogre lol… I am now a beautiful wakeup happy chic with this baby in my bag 🙂
Starskin Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask
I am very excited to try this mask as I have heard some good reviews about it and I am sure it won’t let me down. Bio-cellulose is  made from fermented coconuts in a natural process without any chemicals and the fibres in the mask allow the serum to be absorbed quickly and easily.
L’Occitane Shea Face Comforting Oil
I am always looking for new luxury products to try and this is another one I am happy to try. The Glossybox leaflet says the oil is 100% natural and it helps to nourish, repairs and protect the skin and I can’t wait to see the results I get from using this oil. I couldn’t even find this product on the L’Occitane site but the Glossybox helpful tips booklet says it’s a new product and I a
m happy to give this oil a trial run – Let me know if you’ve tried this product!
essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off
essence products are always a hit with us bargain hunters and this lipstick is no exception, it’s very affordable, highly pigmented colour with an intense shine. I feel this is more of a lip gloss than a liquid lipstick and it’s comfortable on the lips but it’s a little sticky.
I am very much happy with the month’s samples, there were some misses but that happens sometimes plus the box is very pretty; I really love the rose gold colour and the contents are very good as well.
I am convinced and feel the six products included in this box has everything you will need to prep for the party and recovery  this Christmas.
Did this box help you get into the celebration mood?

My Little Creative Box

My Little Box always comes up with great packaging, and this is no exception. This month’s My Little Box was in collaboration with Pinterest.
My Little Creative box is based around the idea of collating memorabilias from life’s moment which is an ingenious idea. If you have not yet opened your box, I suggest you step away from the mouse.
As always the box comes beautifully wrapped and full of goodies. Inside this box, I am greeted with two creams; My Little Beauty’s Midnight Cream which promises to nourish, revive and erase the signs of fatigue from my skin whilst i sleep, a light gel based cream from Talika (click here for review) which contains all the skin goodness one needs during the day.
There was also Un Songe d’Or Beauty Oil from by Ainy Skincare- a multi purpose oil for hair, body and the skin, which smells good and i have been using since i opened the box.

When it comes to lifestyle products this month’s box features two products the wire-wrap beads that can be used to decorate your cables and the My Little Tote Bag which came just in time to use for supermarket trips now that the supermarkets have started charging for their carrier bags. I can now look very stylish after a visit to the shops.

Winter is coming, it’s the end of October and Halloween has been and gone…the countdown to Christmas begins. Have you already started your christmas shopping? What did you think of this month’s box?
You can subscribe to My Little Box (£14.95 per month) here – link.
Thanks for stopping by,

There is something very special about my opening my beauty boxes. The anticipation and excitement of  what’s inside the box makes moments of sheer pleasure. Which is why gifting is so popular;its ones way of making someone feel special. And this month’s ‘Autumn Spell’ Glossybox is indeed quite a gift. The Autumn themed box is aimed at helping the skin feel refreshed and polished during the dark colder months that Autumn brings. Let’s look inside..
This month’s box has a lot of treats not tricks inside- five full sized everything to be exact… a very generous gift indeed.
One of my favourites from product in this box has to be the Lanolips 101 Ointment which contain 100% pure clean Ultra-Pure Medical Grade Lanolin. This an multipurpose cream which can be used all over the body to help relive dryness on lips, extremely dry skin patches and more. You tab a little on the dry patch and wave goodbye to dryness! A must-have for winter because winter is coming… It’s a similar in texture to Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream but Lanolips feels a lot thicker.

Talika Photo-Hydra Day This is a full-size light hydrating moisturiser from a luxury French brand; which helps to soothe and nourish thirsty skin.  It contains such as hyaluronic acid to help plum and keep your complexion looking great during these cold autumn/winter months. As someone with oily/combination skin, I know my skin will love this.. every skin needs a good moisturizer.
Nikki K Airbrush Blending Sponge The blending sponge if used correctly is a great way for one to blend ones makeup to get a strike free, flawless makeup look. I myself am still trying to get the technique around the beauty blender…I love beauty blenders and I have the original which I have hardly used and I am very happy to receive this blender and maybe now i can try my hand at using the blending sponge. Its a great addition to the makeup kit.

So Susan Haute Light Highlighter Another welcome addition is this little highlighting pencil. This highlighter pencil helps to boost natural radiance…it’s a great tool for strobing and or contouring.. it can be used on many areas of the face you wish to draw light such the brow bone, cheeks etc; it is a great and easy carry-on to have in your makeup bag fo ample touch-ups when needed.
Jelly Pong Pong Play Paint One can never have to many multi-taskers in their makeup bags. I love this product.. the packaging is cute, it smells very sweet,  very pigmented cream (a little goes a long way)  and when applied it dries to a matte powdery finish on skin.
A little teaser leaflet in this month’s box.. its going to be a goodie…yes you guessed it Glossybox for NARS!! It’s a limited edition box containing 5 of NARS most popular products in deluxe sample size so expect it to be sold out fast and will cost around £30.If you’re interested in subscribing head over to the Glossybox site and add your name on the mailing list to be the first to find out when you can purchase this NARS box full of fabulousness.
This is my favourite GlossyBox yet. I loved getting full sized products I find useful for my skin and this box was a delight… it doesn’t’ happened very often but when it does it makes the box worth it

What was your favourite item from this month’s box?

September Glossybox: The Style Edition

I know am a month behind but i though better late than never. This month’s box was by far one of the pretties Glossyboxes ever; I absolutely love the illustrated cover and will definitely be a keeper for sure. This month’s box named ‘The style edition‘ is inspired by  key beauty looks behind catwalks which definitely goes hand in hand with the take over of London Fashion Week.
The September 2015 Glossybox is the style edition, with the contents inspired by key beauty looks
This box was packed with so many goodies, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in, with a selection of  hair, bits and beauty bobs ….no skincare this month though.
First of all… can we appreciate this mask please… its amazing. It smells amazing, very rich, very hydrating, conditions the hair and leaves the hair feeling soft and full of life.
I am always on the lookout for a good mask to help me tame my hair especially in the cold winter months and this mask is definitely it. I will definitely, buy this product again, worth every penny.
I am always on the lookout to try and buy new hair tool. And these gorgeous grey one will be added to the stack.
Pretty in pink! All the boxes were getting one of two shades either Uptown or Battersea Park. I was very fortunate to receive this colour; I totally love Nails Inc stuff and I am always excited and thrilled to receive a polish of theirs.
My obsession with collecting makeup brushes was fulfilled with this lovely, soft Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro will also be getting used very soon and is a very welcomed addition.
Last but not least i received a lovely slate shade of Bellapierre Shimmer Powder, called Whesek. I am not a massive fan of shimmer powder because i struggle to keep it from going everywhere.
A lovely quote from inside this month’s box
And there was also a voucher for Best Secret fashion site which entitles you to £15 off a £45 spend, which can be a good value.  Find out more about the Glossybox subscription options available click >>> here.
The only issue with this box seems to be the late shipping – I would recommend just keeping that in mind and setting your expectations accordingly if you sign up for this box.
What do you think of the September 2015 box?
